Canadian Conservatives Are Just Regular Folks

The far right in Canada are just ordinary regular fellow Canadians. How do I know? Because they said so that is why!
You see as of late the henchmen (women) for the campaign to head the far right Conservative Party of Canada has taken on a surreal turn to the poor side. Each candidate is doing their utmost to connect himself or herself to the average Canadian voter.
More and more that means the near poverty voting mother and father. Like any good politician of the present or of times past, we see that those throwing their hats into the public circle are ready and willing to say just about anything.

Stronach and her spokespeople (and she has a lot of them) play up her business experience, deride “professional politicians,” and try to present her as a common person. That's why her announcement was held at a Legion Hall instead of a country club. And, that's why campaign sources worked overtime this week to portray Stronach as “a busy working mother” who can relate to ordinary Canadians because “she faces similar challenges juggling career and family” (which is especially hard to do on $12 million a year). The attempt of the rich far right to somehow connect them to the average Canadian is rather disgusting and it seems so far is not working. And why would it when both subscribes to the failed trickle down theory of all things?
The Star skewered Stronach over her attempt and Harpers Kraft comment got him nothing as well.
Somehow I think Stronach never had to scrounge to find daycare money, or money for a babysitter so she could go out once a month like most mothers in Canada. She is surely not sweating trying to save money for her kids’ educations. And she is not rolling pennies at the end of the month to make sure her children are properly fed for school.
Stronachs' attempt is futile when it’s obvious that she is a millionaire, flies in a private corporate jet, and probably has a maid and a nanny.
Then again, when has the far right considered that Canadians are not blind, deaf and stupid sheep? At least not since many fell for the Mulroney whoppers of Free Trade and increased jobs and living standards.
So Mulroney we know you are out there, and we see what you are up to, but using different faces to pass off the same failed policies is not going to work buddy. We are on to you.
I will give the far right some due though… they are at least entertaining!
