REGISTERED PARTY STATUS CONFIRMED

Today confirmation was received from Elections Canada that the Progressive Canadian Party, (PC PARTY on the ballot), has met the requirements of Bill C-3. These requirements all parties must meet to continue as registered political entities. Operation Phoenix, launched about this time last year, has succeeded. The Progressive Canadian Party, (PC PARTY), will continue offering the progressive-conservative option to Canadians.
In the past few months National Council has elected an interim executive. It is now putting into place processes which will allow all members to participate in policy development. In the coming year a National meeting will be held at which time the membership will vote for an executive and make whatever changes deemed necessary to the Constitution of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada as Amended Saturday, August 24, 2002. In other words “The government, management and control of the activities of the Party are vested in the Members at national meetings.” as it has always been.
The achievement of registered party status has been due to efforts of like-minded individuals from all regions of Canada: like-minded in believing in progressive-conservatism.
On behalf of National Council thanks to you all. With full recognition by Elections Canada achieved we can confidently go forward in presenting a viable alternative to the governing Liberals.
Tracy Parsons,
Executive Vice-President
Progressive Canadian Party
PC PARTY on the ballot
